1. Poor heat dissipation will shorten the service life of LED street lamps


On the one hand, the life of LED street lamps is determined by light attenuation. The greater the light attenuation, the lower the brightness of the street lamp. The light attenuation of LED street lamp is related to the temperature of pn junction of semiconductor. The higher the PN junction temperature, the earlier the light attenuation, the shorter the service life of the street lamp. Therefore, if we want to improve the service life of LED street lamps, we need to reduce the junction temperature. If you want to lower the joint temperature, you need a good radiator.


At present, most LED street lamps on the market use aluminum substrate as heat sink, and PCB is connected to the metal heat sink substrate, forming a complete lighting equipment structure. However, due to the limitations of the physical structure, it will lead to the accumulation of heat in the lamp, resulting in the "heat island effect".


The visible light of LED street lamps is converted from electricity, but not all electricity is converted into light. According to the principle of saving energy, some electrical energy will be converted into heat energy. If the heat dissipation structure of LED street lamps is unreasonable and a large amount of heat is accumulated, the service life of LED street lamps will be affected. 2, resulting in the failure of electronic equipment


As the temperature of the LED chip increases, the resistance of the metal conductor increases. As the resistance increases, the current will increase. An increase in current will cause temperature to rise and heat to accumulate. When the temperature inside the LED street lamp is too high, the electronic components will be damaged to varying degrees due to the high temperature, resulting in the failure of electronic components and LED street lamp failure.


3, lamp material deformation and material quality degradation


Usually, LED street lamps work for a long time, and some materials are easy to oxidize. At this time, if the LED street lamp has poor heat dissipation, the internal temperature of the lamp will rise, and some materials of the lamp will be repeatedly oxidized at high temperature, which will reduce the quality of the lamp material, seriously lead to the deformation of the lamp material, and increase the later maintenance cost of the lamp and municipal costs.
